Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC)

The BIS certification scheme for Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) plants is based on the IS 4926 Code of Practice and aligns with the IS/ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This process-based certification, introduced by BIS in December 2008, was established to address long-standing quality concerns in the concrete used for construction. Drawing on best practices from advanced countries and Indian standards, this scheme offers a structured, audit-based approach to certifying RMC plants. As of now, around 250 RMC facilities across India have been audited and certified.

Praditha Engineers assists RMC plants in achieving BIS certification through a range of services, including:

  • Application Support and Issue Resolution: Comprehensive support from the application submission stage to license grant, addressing any issues that arise during the certification process.
  • Process Standardization: Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and manuals to help standardize company procedures for smooth license operation.
  • Training and Compliance Guidance: Training employees on record-keeping, interpretation of standards, and grouping guidelines to ensure compliance and improve quality assurance.
  • Our team’s expertise helps RMC plants streamline their operations and maintain compliance with BIS requirements, ensuring consistent quality in their products.
